A warning about this documentary: it deals with some difficult subject matter -- suicide - and may not be suitable for younger listeners.

The documentary is called Ripples, and it focuses on the Birns family of Regina. Three years ago, their son Devon attempted suicide. The family has struggled through difficult times every since, and even the day-to-day challenges of life are hard to face.

Andrea Huncar has follwed the Birns family through some of this ordeal, and she produced the documentary. She joined us from our Regina studio.
